Eclipse Sponsorline
Per-action-class sponsor acceptance receipts — a sponsor signs payments, publishing, or contracting separately, never one blanket acceptance. PASS-CONDITIONAL (local) — fixture sponsors/parties only. A Sponsorline receipt evidences that a sponsor signed stated acceptance terms for a stated action class at a stated time. It does not itself create, transfer, or enforce legal liability. Enforceability is a counsel question (§10) and is not claimed.

What it does
- Novel mechanism — per-class Herald-counter-signed acceptance receipts (SPEC §2.1): a sponsor signs a separate acceptance receipt for each action class they sponsor (payments / publishing / contracting), each with its own scope terms, limits, and validity window, instead of one blanket terms acceptance at onboarding. Signing payments signs nothing else; the other classes remain UNACCEPTED until separately signed. There is no verb, field, or default that accepts all classes or an unnamed class.
- Scoped like a mandate — each presented action is checked in a fixed order (class/scope match → limits → validity/revocation) and the first failure names the refusal (CLASS_MISMATCH, SCOPE_MISMATCH, LIMIT_EXCEEDED, ACCEPTANCE_EXPIRED, ACCEPTANCE_REVOKED, ACCEPTANCE_SUPERSEDED, …). Aggregate limits are recomputed from prior check records in the chain, never stored.
- Chained, revocable, time-bounded, offline-recomputable — receipts append to the sponsored party's hash-chained record stream; revocation and supersession are new chained records, prospective only. Any third party recomputes the whole pack offline from the exported pack plus pinned keys alone: enrolment hashes, sponsor + Herald signatures, terms-hash binding, chain hashes, per-class status derivation (an UNACCEPTED class is proven by derivation over the complete chain, not by absence from a summary), and every check record's outcome. Bench-decisive fixture F-S14: payments ACTIVE while publishing and contracting derive UNACCEPTED from the same pack, and the same action descriptor returns COVERED-BY-RECEIPT as payments and CLASS_MISMATCH as publishing/contracting.
- The liability fence (SPEC §11.2, verbatim): A Sponsorline receipt evidences that a sponsor signed stated acceptance terms for a stated action class at a stated time. It does not itself create, transfer, or enforce legal liability. Enforceability is a counsel question (§10) and is not claimed.
- Honest scope — LOCAL stdio, fixture sponsors and parties ONLY: every artifact carries value_class "test"; no real sponsor is solicited, signed, or recorded; no live signing ceremony, production agent, counterparty, or external registry is contacted. Signing is a fixture HMAC stand-in for the Herald pattern (no live Herald key held); fixture keys are pinned out-of-band in the local gitignored keys/ store (mode 600, never committed) — a key presented inside a record or pack is never trusted. Closed surface: exactly 9 tools across 3 disjoint surfaces (sponsor / operator / verifier); no verb accepts on a sponsor's behalf, accepts multiple classes, edits, extends, deletes, backdates, or marks accepted.

Certification
Bench verdict: PASS-CONDITIONAL (local)
Certified scope: PASS-CONDITIONAL (local) — Verity bench of v0.1.0, 2026-10-27 (argus101-program-20261027/wave2/bench-sponsorline.md): builder suite 25/25 re-run from clean state; decisive fixture F-S14 independently reproduced in a fresh process from pack + pinned keys alone (payments ACTIVE with per-action 5000 / aggregate 20000 limits and window on the receipt face; publishing and contracting UNACCEPTED by derivation over the complete chain; same descriptor COVERED-BY-RECEIPT as payments, CLASS_MISMATCH as publishing and contracting); 44/44 adversarial probes (pack-smuggled keys ignored, forged signatures fail at receipt_signatures, revocation replay, presented-status substitution, receipt-face tampering, malformed-args battery with store byte-identical, cross-surface byte-identical NO_SUCH_TOOL refusals, all 6 ordered class pairs CLASS_MISMATCH, 300-op seeded fuzz). PASS-CONDITIONAL is not CERTIFIED — certified is false, and nothing beyond the conditional verdict at its exact scope is claimed. Scope is exactly: local stdio MCP, fixture sponsors/parties only, value_class "test" on all artifacts, fixture HMAC stand-in for the Herald pattern (no live Herald key), no counsel-gate (§10) surface built or claimed. Conditions applied at ship: C1 — the bench's library-helper condition: the internal helper behind F-S14 branch (c) is not exposed on any tool surface and is not cited standalone in this listing or the README (verifier surface is receipt_verify only); C2 — the §11.2 liability fence is carried verbatim in the README, in the full manifest of record (server.legacy.json), and in this listing (the registry server.json description is the ≤100-char short form per the registry limit). All 3 builder deviations (D1 enrolment record_type, D2 unchained PRESENTATION_NOT_FOUND refusal, D3 SPEC.md §11.4 enumeration) were ACCEPTED at bench.
Not tested:
- Real sponsors, real sponsored parties, or real actions — fixture sponsors/parties only; no real acceptance is solicited or recorded
- Legal effect of an acceptance — whether a Sponsorline acceptance creates, transfers, limits, or enforces legal liability is a counsel question; the SPEC §10 counsel gate (e-signature enforceability, permissible terms language, org signatory authority, consumer-protection limits, insurance and platform-terms interaction, revocation's legal effect) is unbuilt by design and no live phase exists in this code to flip
- Live Herald RS256 signing — v0.1.0 signing is a fixture HMAC stand-in for the Herald pattern; Sponsorline holds no live Herald key
- Production key custody — fixture keys are local-only in keys/ (gitignored, mode 600, never committed); a fresh clone must create its own fixture key file to run the full suite
- Hosted or live operation — local stdio only; no charge path and no live Meter ingest (metering points only, $0.10/attestation is a book reference)
- Standalone use of the internal action-check library helper (bench condition C1) — it is not a tool and must never be exposed or cited standalone unless it first gates on a successful verify_pack of the same pack; any such exposure is a scope change requiring re-bench
Live state note: Bench evidence: argus101-program-20261027/wave2/bench-sponsorline.md (Verity bench, builder suite re-run from clean state, F-S14 re-run independently with bench-side harness in a fresh process with an empty state dir, 44 bench-devised adversarial probes, scope/claims audit by grep + code read; subject tree unmodified by the bench). No test-bench scorecard was issued for this verdict and none is claimed (scorecard_ref/card_url null).
Pricing
PRICED — $0.10/attestation, via the Eclipse Bazaar bench-order/intake path only. No checkout, payment, or buy-now link exists for this product, and no Stripe object exists for it in this pass: intake orders are reviewed and confirmed by the operator before any payment link is sent. Metering shape per SPEC §9.1 (metering points only in v0.1.0, no charge path built): acceptance_receipt_issued (the $0.10/attestation book shape attaches here), action_check, sponsor_pack_exported — counts recomputable from the record stream and the metering log; per-call charging waits a hosted endpoint. The local package is the reference implementation. Repository is PRIVATE (priced-product policy).
